Question / Help window display issue

I am trying to record myself reacting to a video but when I hit to add window display so it can show the video but it pops up black screen doesn't show my display that is open. I have the OBS studio the latest version that was released this month. anyone know how I can fix it or what to do???

What program/window are you trying to capture? And what type of source are you using to capture it?

I use my internet explorer on my windows 10 hp laptop and I'm using OBS studio and I hit the add button for display capture .. is that what I'm suppose to do?

Disable hardware acceleration in IE or use a different browser like Firefox. If you try it with Chrome you'll also need to disable hardware acceleration there.
