I've been trying to figure out how to make OBS record well on my laptop for a while now, and after checking guides and asking other people, I need one last bit of help.
I use game capture (to record gameplay) and window capture (to record livesplit, a small window that's use for tracking gameplay time) at the same time. I can record games fine without the video dropping frames, but if I bring up window capture then framerate becomes inconsistent, making it very hard to watch. The game itself doesn't dorp frames, so it's something I only notice once I stop recording and go over the footage.
I've already changed OBS to use " High Performance NVIDIA Processor " (which has helped a little), however since my nvidia is a Geforce 940m it doesn't support NVENC; I use QuickSync.
As another clarification, I only record locally. I'm not interested in streaming
How can I get my framerate to stay consistent while using both game capture and window capture at once?
My log:
Also a video showing how it drops frames every once in a while:
Thanks to anyone who's able to help
