Question / Help Window Capture Freezing on World of Warcraft

Hello,

I just recent ran into an issue when streaming world of warcraft with the game in fullscreen(windowed) mode. It appears that the window capture in OBS I used to use all the time is now suddenly frozen for the game and I can't seem to get it to un-freeze. Anyone know how I can correct this?

Ah I seem to have found the issue. Within World of Warcraft there is a setting to change between DirectX11 or DirectX12. I was on 12 and once I switched it to 11 that fixed the issue in OBS.

Ok so this problem is happening again. I just updated OBS and it started again.

You should be using GAME capture for world of warcraft. Not window.

Hello,
I'm having almost the same problem, and the full screen mode has disappeared.
As far as I'm concerned, the "windowed full screen" mode is also unavailable and the game always crashes if I activate it.

Hey, So I was able to fix my problem. It looks like as Harold said above using Game Capture fixed it and running OBS in administrator.
