I upgraded to windows 11 on the same day 27.2.3 came out. Ever since, capturing a game in Window Capture causes the capture to randomly flicker in and out. It only happens with window capture. Game capture and screen capture are fine. I'd use game capture but the game I'm trying to stream doesnt support game capture because of its anti cheat. Also it's not the game flickering, nor it is the encoding. it really is the capture. My stream overlays do not flicker. Capturing the same game before upgrading to windows 11 and obs 27.2.3 worked just fine.
It's hard to confirm since the flickering happens rarely and randomly, but it seems like it only happens when I'm in in-game menus with my cursor visible? would have to test that out better.
I'm using the latest nvidia driver available through geforce experience. All my game overlays are off. I'm not using any kind of post-processing filter. My nvidia control panel settings are all reset to default. I tried with and without windows game mode and accelerated hardware scheduling, rebooting between each test, and it didnt change anything.
I googled and tried everything i could but nothing helped. Is this a bug with windows 11? with obs 27.2.3? or is there some setting somewhere I dont know about that causes this? Any help would be greatly appreciated at this point. I'm at wits ends lol.
Of note: I was one of the few affected by the complete system freeze in the previous version of OBS. Could it be related to the fix?
