Question / Help Window capture doesn't show browser sources

Hi. I'm trying to set up OBS to capture a browser window, but when I add a Window Capture in Sources, I'm not given any of my open windows to choose from. I've tried on Firefox, Safari, and Chrome (and did the hardware acceleration fix in Chrome, to no avail). It's not even black screen, just no option to choose the Source.

Thanks!

Ok, I solved my issue: windows can't be in full screen mode. Wow, that was a frustrating 3 hours. But it works now.

I had the same issue. I had to give OBS permission to record my screen in the security settings. But now the window capture of Safari flickers black every few seconds.

Thanks. The display capture works well - no more flickering. I also had give OBS permission to pick up my microphone in the security settings. Should be good to go now.

@Narcogen How do you crop the window down to the wished window size tho? It´s quite hard when you just see an inception of OBS...
Is there any easy way? And is the Window Capture getting fixed for Mac at one point?
Thanks

Window capture performs poorly on MacOS because of how the MacOS windowing system works. It isn't going to be fixed, it just performs less well than desktop capture.

On your desktop capture source, right click it, choose Properties, and choose the option "Crop: To Window"

Hello, I am new to OBS and to this forum. I have been experiencing this issue:
Window Capture does not show any of the sources that I need to use (Chrome browser, picture preview, etc)

Here I attach a screenshot of what I see as options from Screen Capture.
I'm using:
-Mac Book Pro. Operating System: MasOS Big Sur 11.4
-OBS Studio 27.0.1
-Log file https://obsproject.com/logs/OFnKg8-LgUw6hdgA

Any help or link you can share about fixing this would be appreciated.

It looks like my challenge is solved. It was a matter of going to System Preferences > Security and Privacy > Privacy > Screen Recording and make sure the checkmark is on for OBS.app √. For some reason, I thought I had done it, but I probably did it incorrectly.
