Question / Help will only record a small fraction of the screen!

I am new to OBS and recently I tried to record a video and it just records a random part of the screen. reseting it doesn't seem to help. this is a brand new MacBook Pro, so I don't think anythings wrong with the computer. Please help!

What are you trying to capture? What source did you add in order to capture it? Try right-clicking on the source in the Preview pane and choose "Transform" from the drop-down menu, then select "fit to screen"
