Question / Help Will OBS ever be made to work with NVMe (M.2) disk drives?

I have noticed that no matter what settings are used in OBS, "encoding" dropped frames is always high 80s-98% when the destination drive is a NMVe drive which seems bizarre as they're actually so fast.

Does anyone know if this has been reported as a bug? The same video giving 94% dropped frames due to "encoding" lag (CPU encoding) will record absolutely fine if I record it to an old Sata SSD.

OBS doesn't care what the underlying hardware is. Perhaps you have a cheap NVME drive with QLC or other technology which offers poor write speeds. 3rd party software like compression, antivirus, etc may also contribute to slowdown.
