OBS is amazing but it keeps working when it wants to. Everytime I record it doesn't capture sound! I have deleted it 3 times default settings and it still doesn't work. But on the Audio mixer next to the Sources box it shows that there is audio being taken in by both my mic and desktop but when I got to look at the video later there is no audio. The it worked not to long ago now its back to not working. Do you guys no any other good free Recording Software? SOLVED, TURNS OUT THE WINDOWS 10 MEDIA PLAYER WAS JUST NOT DOING THE JOB RIGHT. SO I DOWNLOADED VLC AND EVERYTHING WAS JUST RIGHT.

Windows Movie Maker has the same deficiencies in media format support that Windows Media Player does.

Try playing back the recordings with VLC before you declare the files as not having audio.

Because windows media player was being junk.

For the record, as a general rule, if VLC can play it, youtube can use it.
