Hello,
I am very new to screen recording. I am trying to screen record with OBS in 4k output resolution. I have a HP EliteDesk 800 G5. Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9700 CPU @ 3.00GHz with 16 GB ram. I don't have a GPU. The video has heavy lag and the OBS tells me encoding overloaded. I tried to fiddle with the settings, but no matter what I do, 4k is too much for the hardware.
At first I thought it was a hardware limitation only, but then I tried the Icecream screen recorder. It recorded my screen just fine in 4k, the video is very sharp and there is no lag at all. I don't get it, shouldn't it be the same situation as OBS since it's the same hardware?
