I am using image slide show to display animation in form of individual PNG images in a folder. It works well, but by default, (with cut transition), the time between slides minimum value is 50, which means 20 fps. This can be altered easily in the source code and built into alternate DLL. I did that and it works fine, displaying the animation in 60 fps without dropping frames or any other problems.
My question is, why it is capped at 20 fps in the first place, when it seems to work fine at higher fps too? I understand the plugin's primary purpose is not displaying PNG animations, but it would not make sense to have a 20 fps slide show either. Are there perhaps some under-the-hood performance reasons?
