Why doesn't my OBS record my audio?

When i record my obs doesnt record my mic/desktop, i already checked if its connected to the right headphones + mic and it has, I already made all the settings in the same track (track 1), I checked advanced audio properties, and i checked output recording tab. i tried tutorials, chatgpt, asking friends, nothing works. The volume meters raise when audio is being played like watching a vid/speaking but it doesn't output into videos.

I found out how to fix it, for me i reset all the obs settings by clicking file on the top left. then when it opened the folder to obs files I deleted them all. then launched obs and it was fixed
