WHy does scrolling text cut off?

I don't understand this. Text scrolling vertically has a fixed height no matter how large you make the widget box.

I attached a file to show what I mean. Why does Streamelements not force scrolling from the bottom to the top of the box? Why are there no options to change this/?!?!?!
