Why does 1080p base to 720p output res look so bad.

Pls help me I record in 1080p res 120 FPS but I want to downscale to 720p 120 FPS but the problem is that I've seen many minecraft vids (thats what I record) in 720p and they look pretty good for being in 720p but Idk why I get bad quality in my obs.

My Specs:
I7-7700 (overclocked to 4.2Ghz)
RZ 570
16 GB DDR4 RAM
300 GB SSD
Windows 10 Pro 64 bit

With very few exceptions, recording at 120FPS is pointless at best and counterproductive at worst. Unless you're willing to change it to 30 or 60 FPS capture, no further comments will be offered.

OBS Studio creates a log file each time you run it which contains very useful diagnostic information. Without a log file, it's much harder for any support volunteers to figure out problems and your post may be ignored. To upload a log file, go to the Help menu > Log Files > Upload Last Log...
