last year, i used to use x264 for recording and windows played it fine.
a few months ago, i changed to h264, but last week i changed back to x264 because i disliked the compression
but WMP never wanted to play them for some reason. the thumbnail was blank, and it wouldn't let me progress through the video.
i tried VLC and voila! it worked.
what causes this?
