I am using
OBS Studio 32.0.4
on Mac together with a Howler Record & Stream (I have even tried two different ones both totally new). The output is routed from the record out of my Xone:92 Allen & Heath mixer. I also capture 4K video from three cameras with a Mac Book Pro M4 so I am rather confident, that it is not the CPU which reaches limits and causes that.I have attached a small sample as link as I am having difficulties describing the sound:
