WHIP and NDI support

I started my adventure with OBS Studio Linux a few weeks ago. Installed the PPA version and then NDI support. Now I need to push via WHIP to a server. I see that the PPA doesn't have it. Uninstalled and installed the flatpack, but one of my cameras is NDI. So no joy. As a software developer, I am comfortable building from source but the warnings of complexity made me try the easy options.

So do I understand corretly that if I want NDI and WHIP support at the same time, the only option is to build from sources? It seems the real issue is not so much build complexity but incomplete instrutions. I see no mention of libdatachannel in the linux build instructions, for example. Makes me wonder what else I will need to guess at. Any additional hints in this forum that I have missed? I've tried searching for all the obvious keywords.

Thanks for any advice!

libdatachannel is mentioned in the Fedora build instructions for example. If other distributions do not offer a packaged libdatachannel it is probably build without support for it. The wiki does not go the extra mile trying to instruct to build your own libdatachannel library (and linking to it).

Thanks. I was not asking how to install libdatachannel. Been there, done that. Just that I would have not know I needed it by looking at the install instructions, and I wonder what else I would need to know that is not mentioned. I was hoping someone had posted something in this forum or elsewhere give some additional details or insights, but I can't find it.
