Question / Help Which server for me?

I didn't realize a couple of the settings I had my obs software on. I stream ONLY on vaughn. My obs settings were set to Twitch. Does this matter? The server I was using was US West San Francisco, CA. I am in Illinois. Should I change the setting to Vaughn and Chicago as my server? Would this better my quality of my stream?

I also stream to Vaughn and use this: rtmp://live.vaughnlive.tv:443/live
I have tried other Vaughn servers and never really noticed any difference.
