which mac version to download

hello. i am new to the Mac world and am looking to install obs on my macbook pro. I noticed there are 2 versions to downloads (mac Intel, mac Apple Silicon). how do i know which one to use? any help is appreciated. thanks. I should add that my current OS is Mac Monterey 12.6.2

If your Mac is any variation with an M1 or M2 processor, it’s an Apple Silicon ARM based Mac.
