I built obs-studio-22.0.3 on Cent 7.2.1511 and it seems to work well. I'm trying to configure it to get rid of the First Run / Auto configure for each user. I tried copying my user preferences to /etc/xdg/obs-studio/ and that didn't seem to get picked up.
If I'm reading the source-code correctly, I think it'll only look in one folder:
