Question / Help Where is the 60 FPS? OBS Studio + Elgato HD60 Pro

So after seeing a bunch of reviews and doing my own research I decided to purchase an Elgato HD60 Pro. I followed this video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I00L_MZTPQQ to set up PC game recording since I don't currently own a console but may be looking to purchase one in the future. Don't get me wrong, everything works fine with the software that comes with the Elgato. The video looks smooth and the colors are captured perfectly.

However, when I try to use it with OBS Studio there is noticeable quality degradation. Adding the Elgato HD60 Pro as a Video Capture Device to OBS Studio works as it should, however the colors become a bit washed out and it doesn't seem to be capturing the desktop/game at 60 FPS. It just looks choppy compared to using OBS Studio's Game/Window/Desktop Capture or the Elgato Game Capture HD. I would like to be able to use OBS since I stream through Twitch and prefer the overlays supported by OBS.

I have been looking and searching for fixes and a bunch of different workarounds to no avail. (i.e. older versions of the Elgato Game Capture Software, Re-plugging cables, Re-installing, Setting custom resolution/fps in the properties, tinkering with various settings, etc)

I'm thinking about returning the Elgato if I can't get this to work as it should. :\
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

- Make sure you've installed the latest drivers from https://gc-updates.elgato.com/windows/egcw-update/3.10/final/download_x64.php

- Go to Settings > Audio and match up your sample rate with the Elgato (48 kHz). Test.

- Try removing your webcam source and test. If this fixes it, lower the webcam resolution and/or move it to a different USB port as it's probably fighting the Elgato for bandwidth.

- Try creating a new scene collection (not just a new scene), add only the Elgato to it, and test. If this fixes it, you probably have a jacked up source in your original scene that's lagging everything else.

Tried everything you have suggested and I already have the latest version of Elgato Game Capture HD installed. The results are the same.

@Adrian Schofield

Yea I looked through that thread as well as a few others. I tried installing an older version of the Elgato HD60 Pro as well to no avail. I've also tried where you update from an older version as well but it didn't do anything either. Maybe I should just contact support just like @Ote did in that post to try and get the version of the driver that he has? Haha.

Be worth watching that thread as I expect LtRoyalShrimp will update if he hears anything from his side. Also could you post a log of an attempted recording just so we can check that you aren't having any problems during an actual encoding session? If you want to make sure you've got a recording in your log search for this:
