Where do you find the place to actually record? I can't find it anywhere!

ChatGPT doesn't help, it keeps saying that there is a button in the bottom left corner and I can't find it! Can anyone help?

ChatGPT should not be relied upon for support issues.

Please provide a screenshot of your main OBS window.

You shouldn't take ChatGPT by word. The answer is right to the point that it will be found in the left.

- Its no button.
- Its not in the bottom corner.

ChatGPT answers are great, aren't they? You'll find your recordings under normal circumstances by the first entry in the top-left "File" menu. It says something like "Show Recordings" (in the english version) and leads you by opening up a folder view to your users video recordings folder by default.

But what if they aren't looking for their recordings but instead looking for how to start the recording?
This is over and above chatgpt having had cases of "hallucinated functionality" when dealing with obs issues in the past.

Yes, but if someone misses the button in the bottom right clearly saying "Start recording", we can't help out i fear. :P

Relax. The OP posted his question, then never visited again. Considering the entry level of the question, he either found the solution himself or stopped using OBS. It's also possible he talked about a totally different software and found out about that.
