turn off any surround sound option , especially if you are using a logitech headset, that causes echos

You are attempting to use the same device for both capturing:

19:32:00.372: WASAPI: Device 'Headset Earphone (HyperX Virtual Surround Sound)' initialized

and for monitoring:

19:31:58.802: Audio monitoring device:
19:31:58.802: name: Headset Earphone (HyperX Virtual Surround Sound)
19:31:58.802: id: {0.0.0.00000000}.{c3dd3792-cdf0-4ab6-8411-86bf70c654da}

So you are capturing the audio that Windows is sending to your headset, and then OBS is sending that same audio back to that device again.

Settings > Advanced > Audio Monitoring Device

Your audio capture devices are either set in Settings > Audio or added as sources in your scene, if you added them individually.

Doesn't seem to have changed anything, still echo's immensely. But it seems to only echo during live streams and not recordings.

What did you change, and what did you change it to? Echoes are caused by 2 things: capturing the same device twice, and monitoring on the same device you are capturing. In your streaming setup, disable all the audio devices and add them back one by one until the echo starts. In Edit > Advanced Audio Properties turn audio sources to "output only" to turn off monitoring and make sure that isn't causing the issue.

I reset Obs completely, Deleted all the files and reinstalled and the first thing I added was the display source of my desktop it echo's.
