Question / Help Whenever I record it's physically disgusting

i have messed with my settings so many times to fix this and the end result of my recording is always something like this

You're dealing with very limited CPU and GPU resources on that system. I'd recommend the following:

• cap Roblox in-game framerate to 60 FPS
• set the OBS FPS to 30 (OBS Settings > Video)
• set the OBS Color Format back to NV12 (OBS Settings > Advanced > Video > Color Format)
• set the output mode to Simple (OBS Settings > Output > Output Mode)
• set the recording encoder to "Hardware (QSV)" (OBS Settings > Output > Recording > Encoder)
• set the recording quality to "Indistinguishable Quality, Large File Size" (OBS Settings > Output > Recording > Recording Quality)
• set the recording format to flv (if you only have one track of audio) or mkv (if you have multiple separate tracks of audio) (OBS Settings > Output > Recording > Recording Format)

Try that to start. You can check your videos with VLC afterward. Post a new OBS log if you're still having problems after that.

i did everything you said and it came out gorgeous compared to the other pieces of crap i recorded

i then set obs fps to 60 to see what would happen, and it was great

In general, changing the Advanced settings just opens up new ways to run into problems. The Simple Output Mode presets should cover 90% or more of all needs. Glad it's working for you now!
