When I switch to OBS I can't play my game.

I window captured my game. when I try to play it I can't. I can only play it if I click on the game window outside of OBS. I'm sure there is a simple answer, but I don't know it. I have been trying to do stream8ing with obs for about a month and I am about ready to give up.It's so frustrating. I wish there was a help line to call or anyone who could help me get set up . yes,I've looked at the videos they never answer my questions. Why does everything in obs seem to be so complicated?

So It does record when I switch to the game. It looks like OBS stays on. Unfortunately, it is vey laggy. I can't believe how hard this is. Any recommendations? How do people make it look so easy to set up and stream?
