2. most likley you grabbed the latest plugin, written for OBS Studio v28 and newer which has a new UI. So many plugins had to release new versions for the newer version(s) of OBS Studio
it is not uncommon to have to look into latest supported version of a plugin for older versions of OBS Studio (and often covered in the plug-in's main thread)
