Bug Report What is Known About "Failed to find locale/en-US.ini"?

I see this error over every platform and I haven't seen any information on how to fix this problem. What is known about it and is it being addressed. Has it already been addressed? If so, how?

The trouble starts when OBS is launched. In my case, I'm using Mac OS Sierra 10.12.6. OBS (19.0.3) errors with "
OBS quit unexpectedly. -
Click Reopen to open the application again. Click Report to see more detailed information and send a report to Apple." When Reopen is clicked I am presented with an error stating "Failed to find locale/en-US.ini". When you click "OK" it displays "Failed to load locale".

I have even installed it to a newly formatted drive with a new install of the operating system and still experience the error.

Is this issue due to Apple now using "Metal" instead of OpenGL? Does OBS require OpenGL and not support Metal?

OBS does not use Metal or require it. Game capture (syphon) is limited to capturing certain OpenGL applications.

For some users this error can be addressed by deleting (or at least moving to another location) the obs-studio folder in ~/Application Support.

Warning, this will delete your settings.
