So I am brand new to the OBS platform, watched a couple of YT videos to get started and things seemed to be making sense last week, I was able to do a short recording and everything worked fine. Now I have a MacMini M4 and bought the Satechi hub as I needed a few more placed to plug things in. I did have an OWC dock but it took me a while to realize that was killing things (when I have that thing plugged in I couldn't open Safari and load any webpage - though Chrome worked fine), and 50% of the time my Apple Mail wouldn't work. Once I unplugged it, everything went back to working perfectly. Now with the Satechi I can't get OBSESSED to recognize my welcome. When I just use Photbooth on the Mac it works fine, so I know it is not the webcam. I checked my permissions with System Settings and OBS and things appear to be fine. Any ideas? I eventually want to hook up my Sony mirrorless camera as a webcam, so I don't know if I should just go that way.
