Hello,

I started using OBS in mid october 2019 for livestream DJ set in my party gardenhouse and I was live every thuesday.
I really loved OBS and was thinking to donate because it was smooth , eazy to use/setup and used for months.
But a few weeks ago, I updated the software & then I don't know what happend.
I used the same cameras (C920 & China Action Cam for close up) & Laptop and it always worked fine.

Last thuesday I wanted to go live but when I pressed the stream start, my CPU was al over the place , Jumping straight to 80% and keep saying ENCODER OVERLOAD.
I know there is forum about this but everything is just the same (hardware/connections)but after I updated the software, my laptop starts to freak out.

When I switched the encoder from '' very fast '' to '' super fast'' my cpu goes from +- 80% to 19% but I never needed to do that.

I added my trail/error logs.

I hope that I don't need to buy new laptop just because of a software update.

Kind regards,
Tim Vanhees (Belgium)

You may be expecting too much from a 9 year old laptop without a GPU. Try using tools / auto configuration to find appropriate settings. You should also check your laptop isn't overheating and throttling: https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html

Thanks Rich! but why It just went bad after the update?

I just tried it again and now it just works fine....
