I've researched a lot of guides but never found one that found the optimal balanced of quality and file size for quick and easy editing.
I tried using the AMD encoder but that video crashes sony Vegas which is the program I edit in.
Based on my specs what settings will give me desired results?
What's recommended? And should I make my editing program match the bitrate I record at?
My specs:
Motherboard: Asus Z77-A
CPU: Intel® Core™ Processor i7-3770K
GPU: XFX Radeon R9 390 Series - 8 GB GDDR5
RAM: 16GB (8GBx2) DDR4/3000MHz Quad
SSD: 500GB Samsung 850 EVO 500GB
HDD: 1TB WD (drive I record to)
PSU: 850 Watts - EVGA 80 Plus Gold
Results I would like to achieve:
1080p 60FPS
Render times lower than the video length
1 hour video less than 20 GB in filesize
If it's not worth it or possible to make my editing faster with this quality I might have to do 30 fps or 720p.
