Question / Help What CPU for single pc 1080/60 medium stream?

I'm sick of two PC's, I'm ready to move to one. Is a 7940x enough for single pc 1080/60 medium while gaming at 1440 144hz?

Don't know, I haven't seen any posts where someone has tried it and posted about it. Its well over the norm, most people run i7s and play at 1080p and encode at 720p, so that's where you'll get the most accurate guesses.

All I can tell is, that my 1700x@3.8GHz can not handle it, without some lost frames.
1080p 60fps very fast is 90% smooth, depending on the additional load of the game you play (1080p 60fps @ very fast was a little stuttering in PUBG, although PUBG was already limited to 60fps).
I was using quality rate factor 18 instead of fixed bitrate, so the CPU load was even a little higher than a fixed/lower streaming bitrate would be.
Threadripper or the mentioned 7940x should do this easily at fast or medium (maybe even slow).
Keep in mind, that single PC setups might cause a lot of rendering lag problems, when you try to game with way over 60fps. You need to make sure, that you GPU will always stay below 99% load. So an ingame fps limit is kind of "must have" and you need to dial in the graphic detail settings, so that your game will run at 144fps without any GPU related drops and without reaching 99% GPU load.

So one GTX1080Ti is minimum or might even be too slow for rock solid 144fps all the time and <99% GPU load.

Yeah my gaming pc already has an 5960x and a 1080ti and it wasn't cutting it for single pc :(
