What components should I upgrade first?

So folks, I have Xeon W3565 (4C, 8T), 12 gb ddr3 ram, R9 270x and sata SSD. I’m recording war thunder and when I start recording, my PC starts to be extremely noisy and my fps drops from ~90 to about 30… the question is, what component should I upgrade first?

Okay, I'd start with the GPU I assume you are encoding on it

Try OBS 28 RC with new AMD encoder and see if that helps with the FPS.
