Weird mic issue streaming red dead redemption 2

I have a high end PC
12700k
3090
32 gb RAM

I stream a lot of triple A single player games
I have a hyperx quadcast mic I spent a lot of time on my filters so that’s all good and working

I just started streaming red dead redemption 2 Im using Nvidia broadcast with some effects

When I went to rewatch my stream on YouTube I noticed the mic audio only picks up when the game is paused when I’m actually playing the game you can’t hear me talk at all. I’ve streamed multiple full games like gears 5 and gears 4 crysis etc without this issue. In fact I’ve never had this issue before.

The only I can think of is the mic is turned on in the game settings maybe if I disable it then it will work?

Not sure what to do it’s pretty odd.

I’m having the same issue, I’m currently using a Blue Yeti microphone and the same happens. Obs only capture my mic when the game is paused or alt+tab. When playing, it doesn’t. Did you find a solution? I’m searching for one.

What fixed it for me was disabling the microphone in the red dead 2 settings after that it worked. This is the only game I ever had that issue with though and I’ve never had it since so maybe try disabling the mic in the game you are streaming
