I use OBS to stream to Twitch on my laptop. Literally, all I have is this little laptop and the headset i use as a mic, nothing fancy at all. However the quality was still pretty nice and the audio seemed just fine.
Suddenly, when I just tried to stream, my mic levels are ALWAYS picking up some background noise, which I think is actually my laptop fan. However, I have my audio set to only pick up desktop sounds (whatever audio my laptop is playing, not through the speakers of course) and my headset mic. When I turned off my headset, my mic levels were still detecting my fan (or whatever that noise is). I don't understand? I checked all of my settings, I even tapped and blew on my laptop to see if it was somehow using both mics (it's not..)
Why is it continuously picking up this noise, even when there is no mic available to take audio??
