Question / Help Weird Audio issue with OBS Studio.

I need some help I can’t wrap my head around what is going on with my computers Audio and OBS Studio.

The problem essentially is as soon as I have OBS Studio open (Just open nothing even has to be configured in OBS studio) The Audio from any game even YouTube videos will turn on and off for about a minute than eventually turn off altogether; it will even end up freezing the program that was running that audio.

I was having the same kind of issue with the regular OBS the difference was I had to be pulling in a source and in preview mode ( I also found a way around it by going into settings<Encoding<Codec< changing it from AAC to Mp3.)

With OBS Studio it does not matter what settings I change I don’t even have to have a source set up as soon as I open the program my computer audio is broken.

Looks like something's breaking on the USB on your system.
Have you tried shuffling what devices are plugged into what ports?

goto audio devices, playback options etc.. uncheck exclusive priority.

I did have a PCI-E usb card I was not using and it was plugged into the board with out power, I took it out but no difference.

I also have a DAC, the Dac was pluged into my computer by usb, a lot of the time when I wake my computer up after hibernate I would have to turn the Dac on and off to get sound again, windows would come up with an error saying usb could not be detected but it did not matter because it was only needing power from the USB. I moved that usb into a few different locations but did not see to make a difference.

Exclusive priority isn't an OBS Studio setting.
