Websockets Password error

After upgrading from websockets v. 4.8.0 to 4.9.0 I've lost all Companion /Streamdeck control over OBS. I was not asked to set a password when I installed it, and I'm not asked for a password on any subsequent loading. I only see password errors in the log. I tried setting a new password but you can't view it so I can't tell if it stuck. Should the app ask for a pw when it loads?
Going back to v4.8.0 doesn't work now either.
Need help please!
Thank you

I installed this plugin a week ago. I have it working with two obs instances with the latest version of the plugin. One on the laptop with Companion, the other on a different laptop that picks up the obs output of the first laptop. In both cases it will only work when unticking the option for password security. Maybe try if this works? Wondering if it has something to do with the browser settings. Or is it a small bug? In any way, this is really really a fantastic app!

I should have added some more information on my setup, but I wasn't in the near of my machines:
On both machines (W10) OBS version 26.1.1
Version of Bitfocus Companion is 2.1.3
Version of OBS websocket is 4.9.0
I 'm only using the 'virtual version' of Elgato Streamdeck.

Thx for your suggestion, Harold. I did just that both on the tools menu and on Companion, but after saving the pasword the connection went on and off all the time. BUT I just noticed that you have to restart the Companion webgui after having saved or changed your password. So I 'm good now!!!
