Hey Guys,

hope to find some Help here.

This question has been asked several times i think, but I haven´t found a solution for me yet. I am trying to figure out, why my Stream is Pixelated/Choppy when i am moving.

My Internetupload is 10Mbit

Here is my Logfile -> http://pastebin.com/tfQM6mpS
Please ignore the webcam changes. I had problems with the exposure. So I had taken another Cam at the End. Ignore the Wlan connection too, i have the same Resultes with my wiredconnection.

Check this VOD -> https://www.twitch.tv/niconacid/v/69543951 <- This is the one from the Logfile. While Moving, the Facecam is going crazy and on some Points, my whole Face is only mush

Every Help is very appreciated

Greetings from Germany!

Thanks for Reply. This log, and the VOD, is from my last Test witch 1080p. Check the other VOD on this Channel. They are all with 720p30. Only a few are 1080p. Unfortunately the Results on 720p30 are the same. Vsync in Game are Enable.

I will try the Calculator. Thanks!

looks quite ok to me now, things you can try:
- set output resolution on video tab to 720p with Lanczos filter and disable output tab scaling. this will move scaling from 1080 to 720 to your gpu, now its done on cpu. cpu scaling affects colors a bit imho
- use x264 high profile
- install coreAudio just because its good to have it, info in calc
- stick to ethernet cable, never trust any wireless for stream, it will fail sooner or later

Okay, i think this is the best Quality i can get without a Partnership with Twitch. But, have seen a Streamer with 3500 Bitrate, and everything was so damn clear. i dont get it......

Will this going better if i go lower on the Preset? I think i have cpu Power to go on Medium.

Last Test with your Tips @Mroczny_Gustaw :

The Webcam changes please disregard . Had again problems with the HP Cam. This HP Cam is shitty as Hell ;)

looks like you are back to main profile again in last try, but in general you seem to be ok

yes you can probably change preset by 1 step, if going for 2 you should monitor cpu usage with hwinfo sensor mode. play a while and then check max cpu usage that was registered by the app
make sure windows runs in high perf mode

There is something not quite right here but I'm not sure what. You are doing 720p at 30fps at approx 3000, you should be able to do 60fps at 3500 which is what a lot of the top streamers do and still achieve pretty good quality. Is Arma III the only game you play I am wondering if it's down to the game's performance as well?

Putting the CPU preset to Medium may help but I still think we are missing something, I'm not a massive viewer of Arma III streamers do you have an example of someone who you think has good/better quality?

At this Moment, yes. Only different mods of Arma. Like Lakeside or Exile.

do you have an example of someone who you think has good/better quality?
I think this is a good example: https://www.twitch.tv/wolgaster_haenger/v/70108108
Have seen other Streamers with better Quality then this Guy. But the Cam isnt that choppy like mine. And thats what i dont understand.

Ah, Damn it. Ive testet on a testingaccount before Streaming, while this Log was recording. But the Preset of the VOD is high. I will test some Presetchanges and 720p60.

im not sure what seems to be problem now. imo this clip https://www.twitch.tv/niconacid/v/70095279 looks really good and thats all you can expect from 3500 bitrate. that 30fps was working good. the clip you linked as example had worse movement quality. your colors seem to be oversaturated but these are your game settings you changed

ps. consider latest studio version

The Problem is only my Facecam, like the attached Pic. That looks extremly shitty and I thought i can get it better. I did not think it looks like that with 3500. I will try a Stream on Hitbox and go over 5000bitrate with this Settings. Last time i stream on Hitbox with 5000bitrate, the facecam looks similar.

The Colors are from the Game, thats right.

yes cam looks "average" but increasing overall stream birate wont change it because game looks good already. thats the signal obs receives from cam. if you cant change its resolution to higher or experiment with its driver and obs settings then thats probably the way it works

Just realized that I've don't mention the Cam in my first post. Sorry for that.

Ok, the max Resolution on this Cam is 1600x1200. I have another Cam which will go up to 1080p, but this Cam has issues with Lightning. Anyway, i will try Booth. Changing driver/Resolution on the Logitech and try to fix the lag on wrong Lightning on the hp Cam. Thank you for your help !

Maybe the issue could be simple... your background is very detailed / as in its not a flat background

You posted another user https://www.twitch.tv/wolgaster_haenger/v/70108108 who uses much lower bitrate and his cam looking good. Well comparing his cam, he is bigger on the cam screen(he is closer to the cam) and well his background is just mostly plain white. Plus his cam is set to a corner.. not like yours which is inbetween game footage as in moving action or wte of the game will affect how your cam looks.

So either you move your setup elsewhere or use a curtain to simulate a backdrop behind you of a plain 1 color. maybe a little more lighting on you might help too. Also more lighting on you improves how you look as well.

However this is just my assumption comparing yours to that guy.

That is the golden Point i think.

I have change the Facecamposition. If the Background is dark, the Quality of the Cam gets better.

Thanks for that!
