Question / Help Webcam No Longer Working in OBS

It previously worked fine in OBS and there were no hardware changes to my PC but now my webcam works in all other software and online tools that I've tested it with and it is not in use by any other program when I'm trying it in OBS.

My log file is showing: 14:22:44.288: [DShow Device: 'Video Capture Device'] settings updated: 14:22:44.288: video device: FULL HD 1080P Webcam 14:22:44.288: video path: \?\usb#vid_0bda&pid_58b0&mi_00#6&25249c4a&0&0000#{65e8773d-8f56-11d0-a3b9-00a0c9223196}\global 14:22:44.288: resolution: 1280x720 14:22:44.288: fps: 30.00 (interval: 333333) 14:22:44.288: format: MJPEG 14:22:44.484: Update check: last known remote version is 17.0.2 14:22:44.534: DShow: Run failed (0x800705AA): Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service. 14:22:44.534: 14:22:44.540: DShow: Run failed (0x800705AA): Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service.

I have tried running 32 and 64bit, running as admin, reinstalling both OBS and the webcam drivers. I even tested with 2 different webcams. In my research online, I've found a few different people who are having this same issue. Is this a known issue with OBS or are there any troubleshooting options?

Thanks for any response!

Did you try switching resolution mine wont accept certain resolutions.

Do you mean resolution for the camera or the pc in general or OBS?

Edit: Well you're a genius. For some reason, once I changed the Video Capture Device's Properties, Resolution to Custom and then changed it back and forth, it started working. I'm thinking this is an OBS glitch considering this.

I purchased a very inexpensive WiMiUs Action Cam from Amazon (around $39) to use on my drone instead of risking my GoPro just starting out. A bonus was being able to use the action cam as a UVC camera so I could use my existing webcam and add the action cam for an additional shot.

Initially things would not work. The initial resolution was 1080p at 30fps.
The Action Cam did display at this resolution in Skype and the Microsoft Camera App on Windows 10 but would not show up in OBS. I then reduced the Action Cam's resolution to 1280 x 720 30 fps and VOILA! It is now showing up along with my Microsoft LifeCam in OBS and I can use it as an additional camera. So if you are having similar issues with using it with OBS try adjusting the cameras resolution and it might work for you as well.

Best,
Simeon
