Question / Help Webcam freezing/shutting off

While attempting to stream/record on and off recently, my webcam (Logitech c920) will show a frozen image of the webcam in obs, while the lights on the sides of the webcam turn off showing that the webcam has turned off. I've tried changing the resolution to a lower setting which turns the webcam back on for a while only to turn back off. Also have tried installing the webcam drivers, changing obs to studio mode, and changing the usb setting to never shut off. Lost for what the problem is.

I had this exact issue.

I was using a USB extension/hub which was causing the issue.

You should also try a different usb port as it may be a hub inside that has other devices connected to it, like an internal wifi card.
