Webcam continuity throughout different scene collections

Hi everyone,

I am struggling with my cam setup. I am switching a lot between different scene collections. The webcam always stays black after the switch and the only way to get it re-running is to un- and replug the USB connection. Nothing else seems to help (de-/reactivating the source in OBS, switching cam off and on, etc.).

Is there any way to keep the cam throughout all scene collections?

(I thought I had fixed this problem by using the exact same source name for the cam in all scene collections. But that didn't help either.)

I found a better way than USB un- and replugging: if I deactivate the cam before switching, and activate in the new scene collection, the cam works fine. I just have to remember deactivting before switching. Any other ideas appreciated.
