Webcam capture randomly freezes since update 29.0.0 (latest)

Hello friends.

I am posting to report an issue and because I am hoping for help.
Today I updated OBS Studio and wanted to start a recording.

The popup after the update said to reconfigure the screen capture input, so I did.
I restarted OBS, checked if my changes were accepted (appearently they were) and so I started the recording.
Just a few minutes after I started the recording, my webcam just froze.
I tried to meddle with the webcam settings, de-selecting and re-selecting the device. This worked - but only for a few minutes again.

No matter how often I meddled with the settings and got the cam to de-freeze, it always went back to freezing.

So I decided to restart the whole PC, but it seems this didnt change a thing. The cam still keeps freezing, even when not recording.
From the moment I open OBS until it freezes up varies from 20 seconds to about 3 minutes.

I really dont know if this is a problem caused by the update, but it surely seems like it, because yesterday, before I updated OBS, everything just worked fine.

So please help me somehow.

So... Nobody seems to have a clue about the problem.
In the meantime, I fixed it myself.

Seems the cause of the problem was somehow that the OBS Studio update killed my webcam driver.

I did the following:
- de-install OBS Studio
- re-install an older version of OBS Studio
(tried if this fixed the problem, but cam still froze)
- de-installed the webcam driver, then windows automatically re-installed it back
- restarted PC
(checked if this fixed the problem, but it didnt)
- de-installed OBS Studio again
- re-installed the same old version I tried previously (because miracles happen)
(checked again if this worked, and somehow it did)

Because I was very sceptical, I made a test recording.
I was able to record 1 hour and 40 minutes without the camera freezing, so I am now convinced that this solution worked.

I wanted to share this, in case someone has the same issue that I had.

Which older version did you install in the end?
