Webcam and Video capture device not working at the same time

Hi!

I have problem

I have a scene with a Video Capture and webcam at the same time. It was working fine but then , rrandomly, only one of the fonts work at a time.

For example, if i lauch obs for the first time, the Video capture (wich is the last one on the font list order) works fine, but the webcam is blank. If i close obs and lauch it a second time, only the webcam works.

Any ideas?

Please post a log showing your issue.

What is your video source pointing to? Is it the same physical device as the "webcam"? Then your issue is totally coherent: Most video device can't be opened (accessed) more than once at the same time.

What do you wanted to do?

By "font" you don't mean a font but a device instead?

From the log i can see that your "SWITCH" device fails every time. Is it a USB-3 device? Otherwise 1080p60 (1920x1080 at 60 frames per second) is too much for usb lower than usb-3. Try this device with 1920x1080 with 30 fps instead.

And both video sources are usb devices. They possibly overload your usb subsystem in the computer. May you alter the usb ports used? And: Don't use a slave (external) usb-hub for these devices.

If you say it worked two months ago you should find a valid combination accordingly.

If anything fails, try lowering one of the two devices in resolution at least.

Yeah, by "font" i mean "source", sorry, i have the OBS interface on spanish.

The problem was the external usb-hub, even if it worked before with both devices. Switching both device to the laptop ports resolved the issue.
