Question / Help Warframe Windowed Game/Window capture don't work

I've searched for days, found suggestions to change devices in the nvida control panel (tried them) for laptops, even though I'm on a desktop, as well as numerous other ways to try and fix it from old to new versions of OBS. I've tried SLOBS as well, nothing.

I get a black screen while trying to stream Warframe, in windowed mode, with either game or window capture. I've talked to other streamers that are able to stream the game and asked them, some tell me "you have to change some settings" and then never tell me what those settings are. Some have no problems streaming the game at all. I really need to get this working.

I only have one monitor so using full screen capture really isn't an option as I need to be able to see my chat to respond.

Please help...

bump for justice.

When I looked at that log file it seems that game capture is crapping out, repeatedly. Any comment?

Disable Gamedvr on your Windows 10 settings as it has given me problems while using OBS.

I also stream Warframe and never had this issue. It does show up as a fully black screen after adding it as a source until you make warframe window the active window, at least, once.

Does this still happen on a fresh scene collection with only warframe added as a game capture source? Also, your dedicated warframe scene has "window capture 2" and "game capture" trying to cap the same thing.

Gamedvr; what is that? Further, how do I disable it? A quick search associates it with "game bar" not sure where to disable though. Is it going to screw up the fact that I use a xbox one controller?

It doesn't pick it up whether I'm clicked on the window or not, tried that.

Aso yeah that scene was a fresh scene at one point. The only reason both of those things are there is because they have been added to test which works. Neither worked even without the other there. I can go back through and test it all one more time and post logs for each one if I need to. Really would like to fix this.

You can find GameDVR in your Win10 XBox Settings (if it's not under Control Pannel -> Gaming). Just disable it. Google "how to disable Win10 GameDVR" more more indepth guides.

And no, your controller will be unaffected by that change.

Thanks Niphrentil, it was off. Record audio was on, but the other was off, so I just turned off record audio as well.

Alas, that didn't fix my issue :\

Tried everything I could, starting fresh scenes, only one source. Both SLOBS and OBS won't capture. The newcomer Bebo captured for a little bit but now it won't either. I've switched everything in the nvidia control panel to my GPU even though I'm on a desktop. I guess I just can't stream this game...

Long delay's in replies, I know. Hoping for someone to give one last shot at some suggestions otherwise I guess I give up.

Run as administrator. I used to have the same problem and running it as admin solved that. You can also right click the .exe and select "run as admin" in the "compatibility" tab so you don't need to select it every time.
