Question / Help Wanting to use Macro keys for scene switching while having a different program on top

Hello all,

I recently bought a Corsair K95 RGB with the idea to use the macrokeys for scene switching during my creative livestreams and (an idea i havent started yet) to be able to toggle animated gifs of my mascotte. I used to use my numpad, but i dislike doing that since i want to able to use my numpad.

The problem im having is that the macro keys wont register when i have ToonBoom selected.
If i type the normal command i programmed on the macrokey normally, it works. but the macro key doesnt until i select OBS.

Is there a way for OBS to register these macrokeys? I dont know why its not working.
Is there third party software that might help solve this issue? I'd hate to have spend a lot of money on this keyboard while it doesnt do what i want it to do.

Maybe this info has clues to your problem: Switching Scenes whil OBS Window is not active?

Probably your key emulator running with lower privileges than rest of the software or keystroke signals too short.
