Question / Help Voicemeeter and muting the monitor

I have a very simple question about Voicemeeter. I have a really basic setup and don't like wearing headphones. Is there a way I can set up Voicemeeter to mute the output speaker (computer monitor) when the microphone input is switched on, to prevent feedback?

Then when the mike is off, I can hear speaker output again so I can cue up music, etc. I figure this must be a pretty common setup, though not the ideal one.

Voicemeeter comes with the Macro Buttons application, you should be able to set that up to mute your audio with a button press. I doubt you'll get it to mute automatically when the mic is switched on because unless you're using push-to-talk there isn't really a way for the application to know that the mic is off (instead of just quiet).
