Question / Help Voice suppression makes my voice distorted

Hi everybody!

I have a massive problem with the Voice suppression on OBS Studio.
Whenever I go past a certain voice level which is usually really low so if I am not quiet, the plugin will make my voice distorted and clipped.

Any idea of how to solve this or is it due to the Voice Suppression itself ?

Anything else that I can use to eliminate the background noise if I would need to deactivate the OBS Voice Suppression?

If you mean noise suppression, yes that is due to noise suppression itself. If you want to get rid of noise in your audio, you will need a decent PSU, a decent audio card and a decent microphone to go with both.
There is one alternative to the noise suppression in OBS studio, and that is using a voice modulation software to do this. Be aware that this adds significant load to the CPU in addition to what OBS already uses. An example of this would be using Adobe Auditions live filter mode.
