Hey guys, need some help here.
I am doing video live streaming from a pro video camera, Sony X70. I am also using VLC is an encoder that will encode the stream signal from my camera to my computer. The encoding and the results I get straight from VLC is smooth as silk. No stutter or drop frames or whatsoever showing up on VLC.
When OBS studio came with the VLC video source plugin, I'm happy to use it as I can start live streaming on platforms such as facebook, via OBS, using OBS as the encoder that will encode my stream signal to my computer instead of VLC. But unfortunately the encoder on OBS does not perform as good as the one on VLC. It is stuttering, choppy and dropping too many frames. Its unusable to say the least.
On my laptop, when I use the window capture plugin to capture my VLC (this time acting as the encoder), it runs smooth, as smooth as the VLC video source plugin suppose to be. But using this method left me with no audio, as the audio is coming from my camera and not from window capture mode.
Please let me know how I can resolve this issue. Am i missing any step? As far as settings go, i've watched plenty of videos on youtube on how to get better results but all of them seems to be aimed for gamers.
System:
OBS Studio 0.16.6 (64 bit)
Windows 7 (64 bit)
i7 6700
GT 740
8GB RAM
