Hi I am using Windows 8.1 (64 bit).. OBS (25.0.8 64 Bit) .. VLC (3..0.11) 64 Bit.
When i try Window Capture to VLC video it shows black Screen.

Here's what i've tried ...

1. Set the video output to OpenGL
2. Hardware accelerate decoding set to Disable.
3. Updated VLC Player.

However, nothing seemed to work.. Any suggestion/help would be greatly appreciated ..
Thanks and regards

By trial & error, I found that selecting Windows GDI Video output solved the problem ... Well thanks a lot for your time and effort! Cheers .. can Mark as Resolved.

I fixed this by going to the vlc website videolan dot org and download the latest vlc windows 64. then go to preferences ---video --- output like the guy above did and choose OpenGl video output.

I tried all of the above as well. I can now see picture for my VLC video on OBS but it has created all sorts of problems. VLC media player keeps playing scrambled green distortion, it keeps crashing, the captions stop working and in some cases the main audio track (dialogue) stops working. Surely this is fixable but how?
