VLC stream not showing in OBS

I have the newest 64 bit VLC and OBS on my laptop and desktop. When I use the computer camera to capture video I can see the image in OBS, no problem. However, I have a video stream from a camera displaying on VLC. In OBS I have created a Scene and new source using the VLC Video Source. I put the same URL that is streaming on VLC into the playlist on OBS but do not get any video displayed. I tried setting the display to Power Saving as well as High Performance and still no image. I've tried on both my laptop as well as desk top. Looking for a solution, thanks
