vlc source to have a checkbox for "read from subfolders"

I'm using the vlc source to play music and all of my music is organized artist/album/song.mp3. It would be nice to just add the artist folder instead of having to add each album folder.

I recommend just using an external application like foobar2000 to play back and control music instead. The VLC source is more oriented for video use.

I was just looking for the same, to be able to let play all videos from all folders i chose the parent folder from, good for playing short video clips randomly. Would be nice to implement the subfolder scan.
