VLC playlist laggy audio - unusable

Hi all,

I'm using OBS Studio to run a virtual conference with videos from speakers that are pre-recorded and am running into audio issues.

When I add a VLC source (playlist) with more than one video, the audio lags behind the video. This lag increases as the video continues to play and becomes more exacerbated if I switch away from and back to the VLC source. This is not an issue that can be solved by adjusting the sync offset as the delay is not constant.

Please would someone direct me to resolve this issue? I've attached the log file and am running with VB-Cable on the latest version of OBS Studio. Edit to say that this happens on my iMac and my brand new Macbook Pro in both OBS Studio and in SLOBS.

I also have a question about number of sources that I can't seem to find answered anywhere: given the number of speakers, I expect to have 30+ sources within my scenes. Does OBS have any issues with running this way that I should be aware of, or can I expect that the number of sources has no effect on performance?

Many thanks in advance
